A report on the achievements of Prime Minister Sushil Koirala- led government in the past one year is made public today. The government formed under the leadership of Sushil Koirala has completed its one year term on February 11, 2015.Director General at the Department of Information, Laxmi Bilas Koirala, told RSS that Minister for Information and Communications and Spokesperson of the government, Minendra Rijal, made public the achievements of the government from the auditorium of the National Planning Commission. After garnering maximum numbers of votes on the second Constituent Assembly election, Nepali Congress formed a coalition government with CPN-UML which was the second largest party, on February 10, 2014 under the leadership of Sushil Koirala.
In a message delivered on the occasion of the completion of one year of the incumbent government under his leadership on Friday, PM Koirala appealed to the disgruntled parties to renew the bid at consensus on the remainder of the contentious issues. Power News: Achievements of Koirala's government in past year “Efforts are continuing to do away with the existing discord seen in constitution writing with focus centralized towards the major objective of institutionalising federal democratic republic and inclusive governance and administration through the constitution as per the sentiment of the Interim Constitution,” PM Koirala said, urging the oppositions to put on hold all agitation programmes to draft the new constitution on basis of consensus. Stating that the Interim Constitution provided the road map for a consensus on the disputed issues and that the generous democratic sentiment expressed in the past agreements provided the motivation for the new constitution, PM Koirala added that relevancy of rest of the processes was overshadowed by the full fledged effort and understanding for constitution writing based on consensus.rss
