Police has suspected love issues, conflicts between friends, or between families or other persons as cause of the incident. According to witnesses, four masked persons attacked Samjhana Magar and Sima Basnet when the latter were at a tuition center in Jhoche of Kathmandu. Both are receiving treatment in hopitals in Kathmandu.
Police on Wednesday released a sketch of a suspect involved in attacking two schoolgirls by acid on Sunday evening.
The police made the sketch public through News 24 television. The sketch, prepared on the basis of information obtained through inquiry of the vicitms and locals around the tuition centre, shows a youth with mongoloid features and his head covered in a hoodie. Police informed that it has intensified monitoring some suspects based on the color of clothes worn by the supsect and the way he walks and runs.
