The Indian Air Force’s Hercules aircraft has arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)

The Indian Air Force’s Hercules aircraft has arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 1:10 pm Thursday with an Aircraft Removal Kit. The craft is brought in Nepal with a view to clear the Turkish Airline, Airbus A330, from the grassy shoulder. All the international flights scheduled to foreign countries from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu has come to stand still. Regular flights at the TIA have been disrupted for two days since equipment along with experts to tow the Turkish Airlines have not arrived to clear the run-way. The team is scheduled to come here from Mumbai of India. No concrete development has been made so far. 

An aircraft removal is yet to arrive in Nepal from India through Indian Airlines so as to remove the ill fated Turkish Airlines from the site, informed the officials at TIA. With a view to support and avert any unwanted incidents at the TIA, precaution has been put in high alert before the rescue team arrives to Nepal.
