Acid Attacked Girls latest speech


KATHMANDU, MAR 13 - Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has said that government will take stringent action against the attackers who threw acid at to school girls last Sunday at Basantapur-based tuition centre.

Speaking during a meeting with leaders of various student unions at Baluwatar on Sunday, PM Koirala assured that the perpetrators will soon be apprehended. He said that the government is deeply concerned regarding the incident.
The leaders of Nepal Student Union, All Nepal National Free Students' Union (ANNFSU) among other students unions were at PM’s residence this morning to submit a joint memorandum.
The Prime Minister remarked that strong laws should be formulated to prevent such incidents in the future.
During the meeting, PM Koirala also urged the victim’s family to help the government in bringing the perpetrators to justice by providing information regarding the incident.

PM Koirala further said that laws regarding violence against women were being amended for strict punishment and penalty to the guilty.
